Welcome Letter from the 21st PSI Local Organizing Committee
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to attend the 21st International Conference on Plasma Surface Interactions in Controlled Fusion Devices (21st PSI) held on May 26 through 30, 2014 at Kanazawa City in Japan.
The PSI conference series has a long history starting from the first PSI in Argonne (USA) in 1974 to the previous PSI in Aachen (Germany) as a biannual event. Thanks to the great efforts by the previous organizing committees at various places, the PSI conference has been successfully organized to contribute so much to the progress of research on plasma surface interactions in fusion devices. In the era of ITER and DEMO, the role of the PSI conference becomes more and more important.
Kanazawa City is one of the most beautiful cities in Japan, having many attractive spots and very delicious food. I trust that the 21st PSI conference in Kanazawa will provide everyone with an ample opportunity to meet and discuss in comfortable surroundings. I am looking forward to your participation and contribution.
Chairman, 21st PSI Local Organizing Committee
